ATOX Storage Systems has recently installed its metal racks for an important business group dedicated to the supply of tubes, valves, and other industrial accessories.
The aforementioned group, whose headquarters are in Madrid, opted for the technical solution proposed by ATOX in order to fit out its new warehouse facilities in Lisbon.
The project has turned out to be complex not only due to the characteristics of the facility itself (height, weight of the items to be stored, etc.), but also due to the conditions of the terrain, located in an area of high seismic risk. All the calculations for the metal racks have been made taking this circumstance into account and following the European regulations in this regard.
The installation consists of a conventional pallet racking system with a capacity for 952 pallets and a height of 8.5 meters distributed over 7 levels + ground.
On the other hand, cantilever racks for heavy weight pipes have been installed, also 8.5 meters high and 8 levels, with 42 bilateral load columns and 24 unilateral load columns.
This project in Lisbon has been managed through the ATOX delegation in Madrid.
