Over the next 24, 25 and 26 March, the IV edition of the Asturias Metal Sector Forum 2015 will be held, organized by the Asturias Foreign Promotion Society (ASTUREX). ATOX Storage Systems will have an outstanding participation due to its international leadership as a manufacturer of metal racks and its commitment to innovation in solutions for automated warehouses.
This forum, with a reverse trade mission model, is part of Asturex’s international promotion sector plan, in collaboration with FEMETAL, for the 2014 and 2015 financial years.
The event will take place in the Central Pavilion of the “Luis Adaro” Asturias Fairgrounds in Gijón. ATOX Storage Systems will serve the attendees at stand number 6, where they can receive advice on metal racks and automated storage systems for the optimization of logistics, one of the fundamental keys for efficient internationalization.
ATOX metal shelving as an example of successful export
With more than 50 years of experience, ATOX has a wide international presence, both in Europe and in Latin America. In those countries where ATOX is present, it has positioned itself in the market, standing out for the quality of its metal racks, for the innovation of its automated systems and for the excellence of its customer service. As a manufacturer, ATOX designs and adapts its storage systems to the needs of each client.
ATOX’s extensive experience in a wide variety of business sectors provides it with the ability to advise its clients and help them optimize their warehouses and distribution centers, becoming a logistics partner and also contributing its own experience in exports.
Automated warehouses for efficient export
The internationalization process of a company is complex. One of the fundamental areas for efficient export is the optimization of internal logistics, as well as the role played as part of the supply chain. This, together with the current markets, the rise of electronic commerce, the new business models based on the long tail, or phenomena such as the bullwhip effect in the supply chain, imposes ever higher demands on the operation of modern warehouses.
To help companies achieve high-performance warehouses, ATOX has opted for innovation and new technologies, expanding its range of metal racks with the new automated systems from ATOX Technological Solutions.
The Radio Shuttle SHERPA 800 is a pallet shuttle or pallet transporter that turns compact racking, which does not require aisles between pallets, into high-density racking while speeding up handling maneuvers.
Within the category of automatic order preparation systems, DISBAN H automatic dispensing enjoys great success as pharmacy dispensers, providing great advantages over pharmacy robots. Its application is equally efficient for any sector as an automatic picking system.
ATOX’s light-guided system drastically streamlines the tasks of warehouse personnel, providing an automated system for pick-to-light operations, also called pick-by-light, which increase performance in order preparation. The flexibility of the ATOX light-guided system allows it to be equally efficient in put-to-light operations, for the replenishment of merchandise or for the placement of merchandise in dispatch areas.
Intelligent roller conveyor systems provide a solution to the needs of internal logistics, allowing warehouse operators to stay at their post and collaborate on the same order. The motorized roller conveyors can work in coordination with the light-guided system and the automatic dispensers.
ATOX also designs and manufactures clad-rack warehouses for high-density storage, as well as automated warehouses with stacker cranes, both with pallet racks and miniloads for light loads.
