The high-quality metal racks from ATOX Storage Systems have facilitated the expansion of a warehouse of an important logistics operator in the food sector with cold logistics in the Community of Madrid. The project has been developed through the ATOX delegation in Madrid.
The warehouse of this logistics operator, located in the Madrid town of Valdilecha, provides service to more than 200 associates of the largest purchasing center in the sector in Spain, as well as 180 of its suppliers. Due to its uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, 356 days a year, it was essential to be able to expand the storage systems without stopping activity at any time, supplying hypermarkets and supermarkets throughout Spain. This was possible thanks to the great experience and professionalism of ATOX Storage Systems and its flexibility during the different phases of the project, from its projection, to the design, manufacture and installation of the metal racking systems, achieving the completion of the project with great speed.
The expansion of the warehouse consisted of pallet racks with a total height of 9 metres. The client turned to the high quality of the ATOX metal racking, manufactured with the highest quality steel and designed to ensure adequate mechanical properties in different temperature conditions: storage at room temperature, controlled temperature warehouse for refrigerated merchandise, as well as as for freezing at -22 ºC.
To meet the new needs of the client, the warehouse was expanded with racks for 4,500 ambient temperature pallets up to 6 levels and racks for pallets of refrigerated and frozen products of various heights up to 5 levels. In total, they represented metal pallet racking for 7,000 1,000 kg pallets.
High quality shelving for food stores
ATOX Storage Systems is recognized for the high quality of its industrial racking and storage systems. As a manufacturer, ATOX designs and adapts its metal racking to the specific needs of each warehouse.
Along with conventional pallet racking, ATOX has a wide variety of racking systems with advantages for warehouses in the food sector, such as drive-in racking and push-back racking without aisles between pallets.
For perishable warehouses, in addition to conventional pallet racking, which allows direct access to each SKU, live racking optimizes space by not requiring aisles between pallets while providing a FIFO flow.
ATOX Soluciones Tecnológicas has various automation systems for those warehouses that require maximum use of space while speeding up order preparation as much as possible and reducing inventory errors.
