CooperVision is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of contact lenses and, in response to the needs of its continuous growth, has launched a new logistics center in Madrid, with more than 6,300 m2, which will house all distribution operations on the Iberian Peninsula. . The objective of this investment is to improve logistics capacity and delivery service, for which it has resorted to the most efficient and highest quality solutions in each section. For this reason, the logistics center has been equipped with metal racking systems from ATOX Storage Systems, given their quality and reliability.
The warehouse consists of 6 km of ATOX SL-6000 series picking racks, which guarantee the storage capacity required, with the highest reliability and safety.
The order preparation area has also been equipped with multiple work tables, made to measure by ATOX, which streamline and improve the ergonomics of warehouse staff tasks.
A palletizing area is added to the picking area, with racks for conventional palletizing with a capacity of 900 pallets. The ATOX SL-9000 system is internationally recognized for its maximum mechanical performance in palletized systems.
This logistics center, which has already come into operation in Alcobendas, Madrid, is of great importance for the strategic future of CooperVision Iberia. The ATOX Centro delegation was in charge of advising and providing the most appropriate solution to the intralogistics needs of the client.
