As is customary on these dates, we take stock of the year we say goodbye to. We started 2016 obtaining the Innovative SME seal in recognition of our commitment to R+D+i, after having successfully implemented our warehouse automation of ATOX Technological Solutions in different warehouses internationally, allowing our clients to reach high levels of performance in the order preparation, optimizing various picking strategies and installing custom-designed high-density automated warehouses.
At the beginning of the year we also published our United Nations Global Compact Progress Report, an initiative with which ATOX has maintained its commitment since it joined in 2012 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability policy.
After more than 50 years of history, May 10, 2016 was a very special date for all of us who are part of the ATOX family: we celebrated our 25th anniversary since Grupo ATOX acquired the manufacturing plant located in Gijón and began a comprehensive change and update plan, betting on innovation, internationalization and continuous improvement. An emotional celebration in which we recall the evolution during the last quarter of a century and where there was no shortage of thanks to all our clients, suppliers and collaborators with whom we have continued to grow together since then.
Throughout 2016, ATOX has continued to participate very actively at the international level in sector fairs, training initiatives and initiatives to promote business development, competitiveness and sustainability. At ATOX, we firmly believe that continuing to improve every day, betting on innovation and business excellence, is a guarantee to create the future.
Our commitment to quality and customer service has continued to be our main distinction, maintaining our leadership in highly reliable and versatile metal racking and storage systems, further expanding our commercial presence in Europe and Latin America, and facing new challenges, with examples such as the design and manufacture of what will be one of the largest clad-rack automated warehouses in Europe.
We say goodbye to this 2016, full of activity and emotion, optimistically embracing the new year 2017, in which we will continue working to raise the productivity levels of our customers’ warehouses. We invite you to boldly look to the future and continue to grow together.
